Yes, but it's GOOD weight!
Hey Adam:
I wanted to let you know that the water unit for the garden, that we
purchased a couple of months ago, is working very well. The plants are twice as
large as last year, and seem to be fairly disease free. Last spring, I dug a
trench next to the garden, and I have been filling it with material to compost.
I believe that the combination of the water device and the compost are making
life very good for the worms. We have bees by the thousands drinking the water
and there are hundreds of wasps and birds that we did not have last
year.
The only negative thing that I have observed, and I don't think it has anything to do with the water device, is that I have gained some weight, since we purchased it. I would have thought that maybe drinking the water and eating the garden produce would help me to take off pounds instead of putting it on. Granted, I still eat some S.A.D. food, and maybe I should cut down on that, but it is very hard to do.
I have to contact someone about taking some of this produce, because it is more than we can use. I did put some miracle grow on the plants twice when they were small, but we have not used any kind of other fertilizer or insect killer at all. We have zuccini and yellow crook neck squash coming out of our ears, and soon we will have string beans and peas. There is plenty of kale, spinach, beets and cilantro, that are ready to be harvested.
